A Financial Literacy & Career Pathways Workshop
The Financially LIT™ 2-Day Workshop is an interactive experience designed to educate, equip, and empower community members, and organizational staff with the knowledge, resources, and tools needed to build financial stability and create long term security.
Day 1: Community Financial Empowerment & Career Pathways
Wednesday, July 29th | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
(Open to program participants and the general community)
Day 1 is designed to serve both organizational participants and community members through a two-part learning experience.
Part 1: Financial Empowerment & Money Management
Participants will engage in interactive discussions and practical activities focused on:
“Paying Yourself First” & Emergency fund planning
Lifestyle budgeting, saving and money management
Is your bank costing you money?
Credit education and credit building strategies
Goal setting and financial decision-making
Wealth building fundamentals
Understanding the impact of financial choices
Education is only the first step, but the real work is putting it action. Participants will leave with actionable strategies they can immediately apply to their personal financial journey.
Part 2: Career Pathways & Economic Opportunity
Connecting financial education to real life through with pathways to $100K career opportunities, including:
High demand careers with up to $100,000+ earning potential
Paid apprenticeships, skilled trades and union opportunities to “Earn While You Learn”
Municipal and government career pathways
Fair Chance and Felon friendly Second-Chance employment resources
Professional development and career planning
Participants leave with knowledge of viable pathways that lead to long term economic stability, with the tools needed to take action.

Thursday, July 30th | 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
(Designed specifically for SNUG staff)
Day 2 is a focused professional development session designed to deep dive into personal finance concepts, to strengthen staff financial understanding and wellness, by maximizing your employer-sponsored benefits.
Topics include:
Leveraging workplace benefits for long term financial health and wellness
Life insurance: understanding coverage and your options
Retirement planning: Creating your desired lifestyle starts Now.
Beginner investing fundamentals and wealth-building basics
Building financial security through strategic planning
This session is designed to help staff better understand and leverage their benefits while introducing foundational investing concepts to support long term financial growth.
